Now, Rahul Mahajan has a Swayamvar

After the huge success of Rakhi Sawant Ka Swayamvar, NDTV Imagine is launching its second season with Rahul Mahajan .

Rahul, who became a household name after his stint in Bigg Boss , 2, signed on the dotted line two days ago.

The prospective brides will be introduced to the media next week.

The show is likely to go on air in December.

Son of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan ,Rahul was married to Shweta Mahajan, whom he dated for a year. Unfortunately, the marriage lasted 15 months only. Shweta filed for divorce in 2007.

NDTV Imagine hopes to cash in on Rahul's fame, post Bigg Boss. The channel heads feel he can do wonders for the show, just like Rakhi did.

Rakhi Sawant is all set to enter another phase in her life, thanks to her highly publicised engagement to Canada-based NRI Elesh Parujanwala last weekend.

The sexy item girl spoke to Rajul Hegde about her impending wedding and more.

You said you want to spend time with Elesh Parujanwala, hence the delay in the wedding. Where do you plan to take him?

I have not decided yet. This is just our second day together but I definitely want to meet Elesh again and again. I have only met him during the swayamvar when the cameras were on. Now I want to know him personally. During the shooting, there were other men around too. Now we will get time off. His sister is to get married and he will be leaving for Toronto in a few days.

Do you want to Toronto for his sister's wedding?

Yes. Vrinda has become a very good friend of mine. I want to be there to dress her up for her wedding. I have a show in New York and I have promised Elesh that I will attend his sister's wedding after that.

Rakhi glams up for a grand sangeet

Preparations for Rakhi Sawant's sangeet are on in full swing. The beautiful bride-to-be, whose show on NDTV Imagine -- Rakhi Ka Swayamvar -- is winding down, is taking care of all aspects to ensure that her sangeet is truly a grand one.

And that is why two of Bollywood's ace designers -- Neeta Lulla and Farah Ali Khan -- have been roped in to dress the bride.

To make the occasion a perfect blend of contemporary and traditional festivities, Lulla has designed an indo-western fish cut lehenga in bright turquoise blue for the sangeet. The corset and the skirt is enhanced with silver and swarovski work.
