Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra bagged the Apsara award for their performance in ‘Rab De Bana De Jodi’ and ‘Kaminey’. Best screenplay award went to ‘Ghajini’ while AR Murugadoss won the best director award.
Shahid Kapur and Deepika Padukone won the Chevrolet Heartbeat of the Nation Award for ‘Kaminey’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Ayan Mukherjee received the best debutante award for ‘Wake Up Sid’. Shreya Ghoshal was given away the award for the best female singer for the song Tujh mein rab dikhta hai from Rab Ne Bana...and best male singer to Mohit Chauhan for Yeh dooriyan (Love Aaj Kal).
Best music director award was given away to Pritam Chakraborty and Jaideep Sahni won the award for best lyrics for Rab Ne Bana Di.... Amitabh Bachchan won the lifetime achievement award.
Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor performed at the award ceremony.
