Actor Fardeen Khan has joined Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna in the cast of Basra, a film which is being produced by Nikhil Advani and directed by Manorama Six Feet Under director Navdeep Singh.
The film is expected to go on the floors in a couple of weeks. The film is set in the Iraqi town of Basra, from which it gets its title. The film's story deals with post 9/11 Iraq, with the US forces invading the country in their attempt to overthrow Saddam Hussein. The film's music is being scored by Kailash Kher and it will have a lot of Middle Eastern influences.
