Superstar Hema Malini had set the silver screen ablaze in 1972 with her lead role in the original film "Seeta Aur Geeta". She won the Filmfare Best Actress Award of her career for this film. The story was of identical twins that are separated at birth and grow up with different temperaments. Based on the cult movie "Seeta Aur Geeta", NDTV Imagine brings to life a TV adaptation of the 70's blockbuster "Seeta Aur Geeta".
Hema Malini visited the cast and the crew of the new show and while interacting shared some fun moments recounting her memories of her role and the film. She was extremely excited about her memories and said, "It will be unfair to say that "Seeta Aur Geeta" is one of my favorite films but honestly it's true. I was first time playing a double role and was excited and nervous. The best part is that a lot of youngsters I meet today have seen the film and complement me so it feels really good."
To summarize it all we can say, 'Kahani hai wahi, lekin naya hai andaaz. Kirdaar hai wahi, lekin naye hain kalakaar.'
