Even though director Neeraj Vora has written for quite a few Priyadarshan films in the past, Anil Kapoor (who is the producer of SHORTKUT - THE CON IS ON) insists that Neeraj has brought in his own style to the film. For the uninitiated, Neeraj Vora (who in the past has also directed PHIR HERA PHERI and KHILADI 420) has been the common factor amongst 90% of Priyadarshan hits.
''In fact instead of saying that you would see Priyadarshan touch in SHORTKUT - THE CON IS ON, I would rather state that after watching the film you would end up exclaiming that there was a lot of Neeraj in Priyan films'', says Anil Kapoor who claims that he has been a fan of Neeraj's talent ever since he remembers.
''I have been in touch with him for years and it was mainly because of me that Priyan and Neeraj met'', informs Anil Kapoor who is returning to production a couple of years after GANDHI MY FATHER, ''It was more than a decade ago in VIRASAT (1997) when the two met each other. Tinu Anand was supposed to doing his part earlier but later due to some reasons Neeraj came into that role. Call it ironical but after I introduced the two of them, Neeraj and Priyan formed a partnership over all these years though I haven't done a film with Priyan since then.''
In the past, Neeraj Vora has been associated with Priyadarshan in films like HERA PHERI, YEH TERA GHAR YEH MERAA GHAR, HULCHUL, KYUN KI, GARAM MASALA, BHAGAM BHAG and BHOOL BHULAIYAA. Other than SHORTKUT - THE CON IS ON, he is currently also directing RUN BHOLA RUN.
