Saif Ali Khan turns producer with his forthcoming film 'Love Aaj Kal'

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has turned producer with his forthcoming film 'Love Aaj Kal'.

The film is directed by Imtiaz Ali, who came to limelight with his 2007 flick 'Jab We Met'.

The film stars Deepika Padukone, Neetu Singh, Rishi Kapoor and Rahul Khanna.

Speaking to the media present on the occasion, he said that today he feels ready to take the responsibility of the producer.

"I was not ready and today I do feel ready by any means. Today most of the hero's have in-house productions. There are not so many independent producers left also to work with," said Khan.

On the other hand, Deepika Padukone said that she was happy with her role.

"I'm more than happy with the role which I have been offered and with the outcome of the film. I think different people deal with relationships differently, different people's definition of love is different but at the end of the day I would like to believe that love exists and everyone falls in love," said Padukone.

The music of the film is by Pritam and the lyrics are by Irshad Kamil.

The film is slated for July 31 release.
