Rahman's live concert in Hyd on Oct 24

Rahman is ready to enthrall his fans on October 24. This Concert will be the first one of its kind to be held at the GMR Arena, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Complex near Novotel Hyderabad Airport Hotel. The net proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for providing assistance to flood victims.

Addressing the press conference, A R Rahman said, “Hyderabad is very special for me and I am quite excited to be performing here. I and my team are honoured that the “Jai Ho” Concert will be the first, inaugural event to be held in the newly created GMR Arena. We hope that this will mark a new beginning of many more such events that will entertain the people of Hyderabad.”

This is the first time the musician will be performing in Hyderabad after the Academy Awards. Adding a unique flavour will be an ensemble of talented playback singers and renowned musicians performing along with A R Rahman including “Mozart’s of Madras”, Sivamani, Chitra, Blaaze, Benny Dayal, Sadhana Sargam, Rashid Ali, Shweta Pandit and Neeti Mohan among others.
