Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin’s ‘Happy Ending’

We don’t know if Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin will live happily ever after or anything but we do know that they’ll have a very happy ending indeed because that’s what Kashyap has in store for Kalki. We’re talking about Anurag Kashyaps latest addition to his upcoming films, Happy Ending. Looks like Anurag was so jolted about Kalki’s performance in Dev D, he just couldn’t help but make an entire film that would revolve around Kalki.

So the entire script of Happy Ending has been scripted around Kalki to expose her acting potential in Bollywood. As you know Anurag has a very out-of-the-box type of style and so talking about the film he mentions

“Though the film is called Happy Ending it’s actually a very sad film. It’s written specially for Kalki. I owe her that much.” Happy Ending is a film centered around a girls journey that will fit into the same experimental and different 90 minute film he specializes in. “I would say it’s in the genre of Christian Mungiu’s Romanian film 4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days.” Says the director. But Anurag has vowed to keep nudity out of this film, “I’m totally against nudity, I don’t think Indian audiences are ready for female nudity”.
Before this movie there is also another release by Anurag, Bombay Velvet that will star ohn Abraham, Kay Kay Menon & Naseeruddin Shah.
