Katrina is a Barbie Doll Now

The Lakme Fashion week has got off to roaring start with the controversy regarding the Barbie doll. It seems that originally it was to have been Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was to take to the ramp as Barbie. But she has pipped by Katrina Kaif.

So the fashion week started with Katrina sashaying down the ramp at the Barbie All Doll'd up event that was the inaugural event of the week. Of course, the actress loved every bit of the attention that she received from the media and her fans. Katrina is believed to have said that she was honoured to be the country's first celebrity in whose likeness a doll will be made. But Ash supporters were not willing to give in so easily. The official comment from that side was that Ash was still the most sought to be immortalized as a Barbie. But it seems that Ash's prior enegagements prevented her from taking part in the event. The actress has just about completed her schedule for Mani Ratnam's Raavan. She is currently shooting in Karjat for Vipul Shah's Action Replay, which also stars Akshay Kumar. The actress did not want to inconvenience her directors and producers by taking time out for this event. It has been claimed that Mattel toys are in talks with the actress foe a business venture which has been denied by ten company. This seems to be another round in Katrina's favour.
