World Record for Priyanka in 'What's Your Raashee?'

Priyanka Chopra is all set to make an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for her next film 'What's Your Raashee?' for playing twelve different characters that too without the aide of prosthetics. This is probably a feat that no actor, male or female has achieved yet in cinema of any language. There have been people who have played multiple roles in the same film but no actor has exceeded the number of ten different characters in a single movie. In our Indian cinema itself, Sanjeev Kumar had played nine different roles in 'Naya Din Nayi Raat' and Shivaji Ganeshan in 'Navarathiri' until versatile actor Kamal Haasan broke their record by playing ten roles in 'Dashavataram'. On the other hand, in Hollywood Eddie Murphy has played seven characters in 'The Nutty Professor' and eight roles in its sequel. While Eric Idle played seven characters in 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' way back in the year 1975. Even if you go back in history, in the year 1949, Alec Guinness played eight roles in 'Kind Hearts and Coronets'. This gave reason enough to filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker to send in Priyanka's entry to the Guinness Book of World Records for his film 'What's Your Raashee?'. Even officials from the Guinness Book of World Records have confirmed that until now there has been no actor to have played twelve different roles in the same movie. So all Ashutosh and gang is waiting for is the official word from Guinness Book of World Records in order to celebrate this feat.
