Billu Barber gets a haircut

Shahrukh Khan’s Billu Barber is just a week away from its release and it has run into trouble. Apparently the movie will now only be called ‘Billu’ and not ‘Billu Barber’. After a series of debates, Shahrukh gave into the demands of many barbers who were apparently unhappy with the title of the film being Billu Barber.

Apparently the president of the barbers union found the word ‘Barber’ objectionable and wanted it to be changed to hairdresser.

This off course enraged SRK because no one tells the king what to do, so Shahrukh simply changed the name from ‘Billu Barber’ to Billu. The movie has benefited anyways because everybody already knows what the name of the film is already. And also now in this way nobody can demand any changes in the movie.

Also on Friday apparently the president of the barbers association paid a visit to SRK and mentioned that barber as a term was degrading and was in relation with nai' or 'hajaam'.

Also it wasn’t apparent if Shahrukh agreed to the request but the name is changed. Shah Rukh says, "When they met me they were very emotional. I didn't know that the word is a caste.
”I didn't want to hurt their feelings so I removed the word. In the song Billu bhai hajaam hai we will try and beep out the word in the film while showing the film."
