It's not just the critics and connoisseurs of meaningful cinema that is getting impressed by Gul Panag with every passing year. In the week gone by, when Gul was invited to speak at FICCI, she had quite a few people in awe of her once she held the center stage.
Though she is known for speaking her mind out and has also contributed with her writing in many a publications, public speaking is an arena where she wasn't exposed much (apart from talking about her films). However, when she was invited to talk about the topic 'Bollywood Influencing Lifestyle Trends', there were many amongst the audience who were left stunned with her eloquence.
Says an industry insider who was present at the event, "When Gul came on stage, frankly we thought she was there to up the glamour quotient. Yes, she speaks well and one of the better more intelligent actors that we have around. But the kind of depth that she brought around in her talk was really impressive. Seriously, none of us could see it coming. We were taken aback by the fact that she could speak with such depth, clarity and eloquence on a topic like "Bollywood Influencing Lifestyle Trends.
