'Slumdog Millionaire' gets best adapted screenplay Oscar
British scriptwriter Simon Beaufoy won the Oscar for best adapted screenplay for 'Slumdog Millionaire', a rags-to-riches story of a Mumbai slum boy who goes on to win a quiz show.
Beaufoy won the award at a gala event at the Kodak Theatre.
Directed by British filmmaker Danny Boyle, the film is based on Indian diplomat Vikas Swarup's bestseller 'Q & A' and got Oscar 10 nominations.
'Benjamin Button' gets best art direction Oscar
Donald Graham Burt and Victor J. Zolfo bagged the Oscar for best art direction for their work in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'.
'Wall E' by Andrew Stanton won the best animated feature film of the Year, while best short film (animated) trophy went to Kunio Kat's "La Maison en Petits Cubes".
Michael O'Conner wins Oscar for best costume
Michael O'Conner won the coveted Oscar trophy for best costume design for the film 'The Duchess'.
Greg Cannom bagged the award for best make up for 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' at the 81st Academy Awards ceremony.
