RGV has started shooting for his much hyped media based film ‘Rann’. The film will see how the media, headed by rich corrupt tycoons control the flow of news. This will be the first movie of its kind and will have a very bold take towards its content.
The film will star Amitabh Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh & Gul Panag to name a few. The film hit the floors about a week back and has still a long way to go.
Gul Panag has been working out daily for the film and reports regularly at 9 am for the shoot.
The movie will be produced by Ghajini producer Madhu Mantena. “I could have basked in the glory of the success of 'Ghajini', but thought it wise to move ahead with other projects," says Mantena.
Says Varma 'I did not call Mantena on board for 'Rann' because of 'Ghajini' success. We always wanted to do a film together. Also, I needed someone to look after the monetary aspects and there could be nobody better than my cousin Madhu.'
