Its true, Manoj Bajpaiis a part of Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Jail’. Manoj is playing an underworld gangster in the film and will be seen as Nitin’s buddy in the film.
Jail is a story based on a prisoner’s life.
Apparently Manoj was offered two roles at the same time. One was ‘Jail’ and the other was David Dhavan’s ‘Hook Ya Crook’.
Bajpai accepted this role because of its more serious approach and opted out of ‘Hook Ya Crook’ because of the comedy genre and plus the role wasn’t appealing.
Madhur has been a fan of Bajpai and has seen a lot of his films right from ‘Satya’ to ‘Zubeidaa’. They had previously spoken to each other about working in a film. Manoj fitted the bill perfectly and plays an inmate who helps Neil go through his term in prison.Manoj is apparently very happy to be working with Bhandarkar but some formalities still remain undone.
