"Will Smith and I will work together for sure," – Aishwarya Rai
Talking about international films, Aishwarya Rai is making waves in Hollywood. She has already had quite a few roles in international films already, but now she talks about serious stuff.
Aish is currently in New York for the premiere of The Pink Panther 2. Incidentally today happens to be hubby Abhishek’s birthday and they will celebrate there along with parents Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.
The Pink Panther opened up to quite disappointing results in the west and critics have blasted the movie calling it “a total waste of time”- MSNBC and “…aiming almost too broadly for kids” – screendaily.
But Aish is not perturbed, she is confident about her role in the film stating “I don’t regret my role in the movie, I didn't work in 'Pink Panther 2' because it was an international project. I got the script. I happily chose to be part of the film. They shot exactly what I was offered. I don't need to work with stardust in my eyes”
Its no problem for Aish to be part of an ensemble cast "It was a wonderful experience working with a stalwart like Steve Martin and the rest of the cast and crew. Why spoil it by questioning how much footage I have? So many Indian actors have worked in international ensemble casts."
Also some interesting news emerged as the media was interviewing the former Miss World, apparently the actress was offered the role of lead opposite Will Smith in "Seven Pounds" which opens in Mumbai this week, however had date issues.
"Will Smith and I will work together for sure," laughed Aishwarya. "There have been a number of offers. Dates just don't work out. If he's keen to work with me, so am I,"
