“The film industry is bleeding” – Mukesh Bhatt
The ongoing strike between the producers and the multiplexes doesn’t look like its going to get any better soon. Mukesh Bhatt who is spearheading on the producers front considers Bollywood to be bleeding.Bhatt is the chairman of the United Forum for Bollywood Producers and Distributors and says “We (the film industry) are bleeding. This strike is affecting the industry and we are suffering colossal losses,”

The entire industry is facing problems as all movies have been delayed. The multiplexes are suffering huge losses and will go on a complete shutter down policy from the 1st of may if the strike doesn’t end. Producers are stopping all marketing and distribution of their films from the 4th of April. “We are not going to succumb to unreasonable demands,” said Bhatt.

‘Fair Price for Friday Nights’ is the demand the producers are making and the tussle is over 50:50 revenue sharing between producers and multiplexes
