I salute those who dared to watch 'Ek Se Bure Do': Arshad Warsi

Within hours of the release of his latest flick 'Ek Se Bure Do', Arshad Warsi has apologised to his fans for 'subjecting' them to the film.

'I ask for forgiveness from the bottom of my heart. I am sorry that you had to be subjected to 'Ek Se Bure Do',' Arshad Warsi said.

The film also stars Rajpal Yadav and has been brought to life from cold storage. A five-year-old project, the film saw a patchy release with zero promotion to back it up.

'I know, it's a ghost from my past. It was a mistake though I promise that this film should mark an end to all my pending releases. It should be a new beginning from 2009 onwards,' said Arshad who is looking forward to the arrival of 'Shortkut - The Con Is On', 'Ishqian' and his home production 'Kaun Bola'.

Tell Arshad that 'Ek Se Bure Do' has been a complete waste of time and money, and he is willing to crack a joke.

'First and foremost, let me salute you that you actually dared to watch the film. Not many people would have been as brave. But then pray for me as well! You are talking about those Rs.300 that you would have spent on the movie ticket and popcorn? Well God bless you! Meri toh lakhon ki izzat chali gayi iss film se! (I lost reputation worth lakhs with this film).'

Produced by Suresh Seth, 'Ek Se Bure Do' is directed by Tarique Khan for whom this was his first venture behind the camera. Natassha is the female lead in the film while another debutant girl Tusha too joins in this no show.

Arriving with zero publicity, the film would be lucky to survive a single weekend at theatres.

In a way, release of this film would be a relief for Arshad who has moved into A-grade films.

'Ek Se Bure Do' was the second in line for old films of Arshad to hit the screens. A few weeks back 'Kisse Pyaar Karoon' arrived and disappeared in a matter of a single week. That film too was years in the making and was a 'let's-get-this-one-out-of-the-way' release.

Arshad may be praying that his two more 'ghosts from the past' - 'Jeetenge Hum' and 'Zamaanat' - too arrive soon and clear his releases backlog.
