John's Mammoth Affair Continues

John Abraham has some new fans. These latest fans of his are the pachyderm variety. Well, if they aren't already, they will soon be, once the actor's dream of setting up a home for elephants on the Maharashtra Katrnataka border materialises.

The actor has been working in tandem with Mike Pandey, a conservationist and documentary filmmaker on this project of his. Previously, John has been associated with PETA as well. The actor's project for setting up a rehabilition for elephants has made quite a bit of progress with the state government giving it their approval. But now the actor is looking to buy up some forest land to set up the centre. Just like the Indian tiger, the Indian elephant's habitat is rapidly being eroded due to the deforestation, leading to clashes between the pachyderm and man. It is heartening to see celebs in India lending their voices and support for causes such as this. This is something which is quite common in Hollywood, but very few Bollywood actors go so far to show their support for a cause. No doubt about it, John is definitely a celeb with a conscience.
