Uday Chopra walks out of ‘Hook Ya Crook’

Recently Uday Chopra walked out of David Dhavan’s Hook Ya Crook as the actor is busy working on his home banners next film.

Apparently ‘Hook Ya Crook’ took a long time to get started and in the meanwhile Uday took to his other projects which star Priyanka Chopra in the lead.

He has now been replaced by Shreyas Talpade for the role that would have seen Uday step out of his home banner for the first time.

Shreyas will now play the quite meaty role in this comedy that has cricket as its central theme. Says a source "Uday was offered the film when didn't have much work coming his way, post Dhoom: 2. David specifically wanted Uday for this particular role and the actor was game. Meanwhile, he film took a while to take off. Uday got busy with his other projects”

Hook Ya Crook will star John Abraham and Genelia D’Souza and is produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Hook Ya Crook is a thriller with a sprinkling of comedy and cricket and one will see international cricketers like MS Dhoni in the film. The movie hit the floors in Jan ’09.
